The Urban Studio is an independent homeware and gift store in Mt Eden Village, Auckland. We opened at 445 Mt Eden Road on 9 December 2019, and we sell online across New Zealand and to Australia. Every piece in store is carefully curated by us, with a pop of colour for good measure.

The Urban Studio sells homeware, furniture, lighting, cushions and throws, candles and diffusers, vases, art, books, jewellery, bags and wallets, body care, beach gear, treats for pets, cards and wrapping, and chocolate. You’ll find the full range in our Mt Eden store and online.

The Urban Studio stocks Saben, Secrid, Mendota, BLUNT, Becca Project, Bungalow Denmark, Remember, Gry + Sif, Stanley, Karen Walker, Peignee Paris, Sunnylife, Looplabb Amsterdam and Outland Denim, along with many smaller makers. See our Brands page for the full range.

Yes. Browse our Gift Ideas online, or pop into our Mt Eden store and we’ll help you choose. Gift wrapping is free, and we can send your gift straight to the recipient anywhere in New Zealand.

Yes. All the stock in The Urban Studio’s Mt Eden store is also on our website. So if you spot something you love in store, you can order it online too.

Please get in touch as soon as you can at hello@theurbanstudio.co.nz or on 09 600 3440. If we hear from you before 10am on a working day, we can usually make changes before your order goes out. Our courier collects around midday, and once an order is wrapped and labelled it’s hard to change. You can cancel your order any time before it has been dispatched.

The Urban Studio accepts Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay online, as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely at checkout. We don’t currently accept American Express.

Yes. Add anything you love to your wishlist and you’ll find it on our Wishlist page whenever you’re ready.

The Urban Studio dispatches orders placed Monday to Friday within 24 hours. If you order over a weekend or public holiday, we’ll process it within 24 hours of the next working day.

Shipping from The Urban Studio costs $7 within Auckland, $10 to the rest of the North Island, $15 to the South Island and $35 to Australia.

Yes. The Urban Studio offers free shipping on New Zealand orders over $200 and Australian orders over $300. This doesn’t include large items such as furniture.

Most North Island orders from The Urban Studio arrive overnight. South Island orders usually take 2 days, so allow 1 to 3 working days anywhere in New Zealand. Rural addresses can take 1 to 5 working days. Australian orders take up to 8 working days.

We’ll email you a tracking link as soon as your order leaves us.

Yes. All New Zealand deliveries from The Urban Studio go with Post Haste and need a signature. You can remove the signature option through your tracking link. If you do, The Urban Studio can’t be responsible for lost or stolen parcels and your order won’t be covered by insurance.

Sorry, we can’t. Every parcel needs a signature on delivery, so please use a street address.

The Urban Studio currently ships within New Zealand and to Australia. For anywhere else, email us at hello@theurbanstudio.co.nz and we’ll send you a freight quote.

Yes. Choose pick up at checkout and collect from The Urban Studio at 445 Mt Eden Road, Mt Eden Village, Auckland. Orders are usually ready within two hours. Please bring your order confirmation email with you.

The Urban Studio is at 445 Mt Eden Road, Mt Eden Village, Auckland 1024.

The Urban Studio is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, Saturday 10am to 3pm and Sunday 10am to 2pm. We’re closed on public holidays.

Yes! Gift wrapping at The Urban Studio is complimentary. Just add a note in the box at the bottom of your cart to let us know you’d like your order wrapped.

Yes. Pop their address in as the delivery address and we’ll send it straight to them. Add a card or gift tag to your order and write your message in the note box at the bottom of your cart. We’ll write it out by hand.

Yes. The Urban Studio gift vouchers come in $10, $20, $50 and $100 online and arrive by email. Looking for a custom amount? Pop into our Mt Eden store or email us at hello@theurbanstudio.co.nz. Vouchers can be used online or in store. We also have printed gift cards in a black envelope that we can post as a gift.

The Urban Studio gift vouchers are valid for three years from the date of purchase.

If you don’t love your purchase, The Urban Studio is happy to exchange, credit or refund any item bought online. Please request your return within 14 days of receiving it. Items need to be unused, in saleable condition and in all original packaging with tags. See our Refund Policy for the details.

Email us at hello@theurbanstudio.co.nz with your order number and the item you’d like to return. We’ll take it from there.

Return shipping is at your cost. We recommend a tracked service, as The Urban Studio can’t take responsibility for items lost or damaged on the way back to us.

Sale items from The Urban Studio can’t be returned or refunded for change of mind. This includes everything in our Last Edit collection, which is final sale. This doesn’t affect your rights if an item is faulty.

We’re so sorry if that happens. If your order arrives damaged, please email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We’ll send a replacement, or a refund if a replacement isn’t possible. If an item turns out to be faulty later on, you’re still covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act, so please get in touch.

Yes. In-store purchases follow the same returns policy. Just bring the item and your receipt back to us in store.

Every piece at The Urban Studio is carefully curated by us. We look for things that have a purpose, stand the test of time and are ethically made. And we always add a pop of colour for good measure.

We work hard to show true colours, but every screen is a little different. If you’d like more detail on a product, just ask.
